Tournament Rules
Uniforms
- The uniforms of all team members shall consist of:
- Shirts of the same dominant colour front and back as the shorts.
- Shorts of the same dominant colour front and back as the shirts.
- Each team member shall have a number clearly visible on the shirt, front and back.
- Each team shall have a light and a dark version of the uniforms.
- The team may only use numbers 0 and 00 and from 1 to 99.
- Players on the same team shall not wear the same number.
- Players shall not wear any hair accessories, jewellery, and any equipment that may cause injury to other players.
Playing regulations
All FIBA Basketball 2020 rules are enforced, with the following modifications:
Playing time, tied score and overtime
- The game shall consist of 2 halves of 10 minutes each.
- The clock shall stop on each stop in play during the game.
- The clock shall also stop on each goal in the last two minutes of the last half and of each overtime.
- There shall be a half-time interval of play of 2 minutes.
- The 24/14 shot clock will be timed by the officials on court. They will clearly announce when there is less than 5 seconds left to take a shot.
- A tied score is not permitted.
- If the score is tied at the end of the second half, the game shall continue with as many overtimes of 2-minutes duration each as necessary to break the tie.
Time-out
- Each time-out shall last 1 minute.
- The clock is stopped during a time-out.
- Each team has 1 time-out per first half-time.
- An unused time-out from the first half-time cannot be carried over to the second half-time.
- There is one extra time-out per overtime for each team
Fouls
- A player may commit 5 personal fouls during every game.
- A team may commit 4 team fouls per half after which every foul shall lead to free throws.
- A player is disqualified from the game after 2 technical fouls, 2 unsportsmanlike fouls, or one technical and one unsportsmanlike foul. That player is suspended for the next game of the tournament.
- A coach is disqualified from the game after 2 coach technical fouls, or 3 technical fouls including one from the team bench. That coach is not suspended for any additional game.
- A player receiving a disqualifying foul or being disqualified for fighting is immediately suspended from the game. That player is also suspended for the rest of the tournament.
Tournament regulations
- Teams shall be classified according to their win-loss record, namely 2 classification points for each game won, 1 classification point for each game lost (including lost by default) and 0 classification point for a game lost by forfeit.
- If 2 or more teams have the same win-loss record of all games in the group, the game(s) between these 2 or more teams shall decide on the classification. If these 2 or more teams have the same win-loss record of the games between them, further criteria shall be applied in the following order:
- Higher game points difference of the games between them.
- Higher number of game points scored in the games between them.
- Higher game points difference of all games in the group.
- Higher number of game points scored in all games in the group.
- If at any level of these criteria one or more team(s) are already classified, the procedure shall be repeated from the beginning for all the remaining teams not classified yet.
